History:
The Ekvita company was established in 1992 through the privatization of s.p. Strojtex, plant 4 and continues the successful tradition of engineering production of the state company and its predecessors which were established in 1946. The original production program, i.e. production of pneumatic and electromagnetic contactors for CKD Praha trams and engines and the production of textile machinery and its spare parts, ended with the disintegration of the Eastern European market. The company is also engaged in its own development and established the production of “Ekonomik” heated water pumps, which received an award at Pragotherm 94. Ekvita’s owners are individuals active in the company and a legal entity from Germany with a foreign share of 28%.
